Deane Yim completed her general paediatric and cardiology basic training at Princess Margaret Hospital in Perth. She undertook advanced training in non-invasive cardiac imaging at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, and the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids Hospital) in Toronto prior to her return to Perth in 2017. Deane’s subspecialty interests include advanced echocardiographic imaging, fetal imaging and cardiac magnetic resonance. She is the clinical lead for cardiac magnetic resonance at Perth Children’s Hospital and a fetal cardiologist at King Edward Memorial Hospital. Deane is actively involved in clinical and multicentre research studies and her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at international conferences.

Deane has clinical appointments at Perth Children’s Hospital and King Edward Memorial Hospital. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand. Deane consults with Western Cardiology in Subiaco in all aspects of paediatric cardiology.
